The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has sent a document to the Ministry of Finance about removing difficulties in the refund of value added tax to wood processing and export companies.
The 60-day deferral of Value Added Tax (VAT) payments on importation and
VAT refunds are the tax incentives Viet Nam applies to investment
projects facing objective financial problems.
Foreigners and overseas Vietnamese people exiting the country from Cam
Ranh airport in Khanh Hoa province will be eligible for value added tax
(VAT) refunds on purchases of Vietnamese products.
General Taxation Administration under the Ministry of Finance has said
it was necessary to increase the network of retailers registering to
join the value-added tax (VAT) refund programme to make it more
appealing to international tourists.
HCM City has refunded over VND30 billion, or US$1.4 million, of
value-added tax (VAT) to foreigners leaving Vietnam through the Tan Son
Nhat International Airport since July 1, 2012.
